HPCL is an Indian oil and natural gas company with its headquarters at Mumbai in Maharashtra. It was incorporated in 1974 after the takeover and merger of erstwhile Esso Standard and Lube India Limited by the Esso Act 1974.
HPCL operates two major refineries producing a wide variety of petroleum fuels and specialities, one in Mumbai (West Coast) of 7.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) capacity and the other in Visakhapatnam, (East Coast) with a capacity of 8.3 MMTPA. It also owns and operates the largest lubricant refinery in India producing lube base oils of international standards.

- With 60% aggregate marks of all semesters/ years for Gen/OBC-NC and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD/(VH/HH/OH*) candidates.
- Candidates who have completed Engineering Graduation after 01-04-2020 onwards are eligible to apply.
- Candidates passed out prior to 01-04-2020 are not eligible for apprenticeship training.
- All the qualifications specified above should be recognized by Board of Technical Education/UGC/ AICTE.
HPCL Recruitment 2023 Total Vacancies :- 100 Posts
Age Limit ( As on 07 January 2023 ) :- Minimum 18 years and Maximum of 25 years
Age Relaxation :
- Age relaxation by 5 yrs for SC/ST candidates.
- 3 yrs for OBC candidates.
- 10 yrs for PwBD (VH/OH/HH) candidates.
- Relaxation in eligibility criteria, age and reservations for SC, ST, OBC , NC and PwBD (Persons with bench marked disabilities – with degree of disability 40% or above) will be considered as per presidential directives.
Note :-
- Interview call letter will be sent over NATS portal and no hard copy will be sent to the candidates.
- All communications will be through the email ID/ Mobile number provided by the candidates in his/her online application.
- The engagement as Apprentice trainees will be period of one year only.
- Merit list will be drawn basis the academic results of engineering degree and Scores in the Interview.
- Candidates who have got work experience of one year or more are not eligible to apply.
- All queries pertaining to registration/verification of application form on NATS portal may be addressed to Board of Apprenticeship Training (Southern Region).
Selection Process :-
- The selection process includes the Interview.
- Management reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Interview which will be tentatively scheduled in the month of January 2023.
- Merit list will be drawn basis the academic results of engineering degree and Scores in the Interview.
- Final offer for apprenticeship training would be subjected to clearing the Medical test as per HPCL standards and submission of all the documents / certificates towards proof of age, qualification, caste, medical certificates of PwBD and medical fitness etc., as may be applicable.
