Brief Information :- Bihar Post Office Recruitment 2021 : Department of Posts India, Bihar Postal Circle, Patna invites online applications for recruitment of Meritorious Sports Persons in the Cadre of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant, Postman and Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in Bihar Postal Circle. For more than 150 years, the Department of Posts (DoP) has been the backbone of the country’s communication and has played a crucial role in the country’s socio-economic development. It touches the lives of Indian citizens in many ways: delivering mails, accepting deposits under Small Savings Schemes, providing life insurance cover under Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) and providing retail services like bill collection, sale of forms, etc. The DoP also acts as an agent for Government of India in discharging other services for citizens such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) wage disbursement and old age pension payments. With 1, 55,015 Post Offices, the DoP has the most widely distributed postal network in the world.

• Postal Assistant – 31 Posts
• Sorting Assistant – 11 Posts
• Postman – 05 Posts
• Multi Tasking Staff – 13 Posts

Qualification / Experience :-

Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant:

• Matric with 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognised university or Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education. The candidate will be required to furnish certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer Training Institute before issuance of appointment letter.

Postman:

• The candidate must have passed 12th Standard from a recognized Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education. The candidate will be required to furnish certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer Training Institute before issuance of appointment letter. Knowledge of Local Language.

MTS:

• The candidate must have passed 10th Standard from a recognized Board of School Education or Board of Secondary Education. Knowledge of Local Language

Sports Qualifications:

• Sportsmen who have represented a State or the country in the National or International competition in any of the required games/ sports.
• Sportsmen who have represented their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Board in any of the required games/sports.
• Sportsmen who have represented the State Schools Teams in the National Sports/ Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federations in any of the required games/ sports.
• Sportsmen who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.

Age Limit (As on 31/12/2021) :-

• Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant / Postman: 18 - 27 years
• MTS: 18 - 25 years

Salary :-

• Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant: Pay Level 4 25500 - 81100/- plus admissible allowances
• Postman: Pay Level 3 21700 - 69100/- plus admissible allowances
• MTS: Pay Level 1 18000 - 56900/- plus admissible allowances

Bihar Post Office Recruitment 2021 Selection Process :-

• Selection on the basis of Educational and Sports Qualification
