South Western Railway Recruitment :
South Western Railway was created by amalgamating the re-organized Hubli division from South Central Railway and Bangalore & Mysore divisions from Southern Railway. It has been operational from 1st April 2003 having the headquarters at Hubli in the state of Karnataka. The Railway comprises of 03 divisions, viz. Hubli, Bangalore & Mysore and primarily caters to Karnataka state with 84% of its jurisdiction located there. The balance 16% of its route length falls in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Goa.
Bangalore division of this zone is passenger oriented while Hubli & Mysore divisions are fright oriented. Bangalore city is a world famous Information Technology hub of India. Hubli and Mysore are having important tourist places. This Railway hosts a large number of world heritage sites. Some of the important tourist destinations like Hampi ruins, Caves of Badami, Pattadakallu, Aihole, Goan Beaches come under the jurisdiction of Hubli division of this Railway. Mysore division caters to the World famous Dasara celebrations and other historic places like Hoyasala dynasty’s monuments in Belur, Halebeedu, Somanathapura and the famous Jogfalls.

Level-5:
- Graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised University.
Level-4 :
- Graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised University. OR Pass in 1st Year B.Sc. (Physics) or a pass in 12th (+2 stage) in Higher Secondary in Science (Physics or Maths) from recognised institution. OR 12th (+2 Stage) or equivalent examination from a recognised Board / University and for the skill test prescribed dictation speed of 80 words per minute duration time 10 minutes and transcription time is 50 minutes (English) and 65 minutes (Hindi).
Level-3/2:
- Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination for Non-Technical posts. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institution. OR Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI approved by NCVT / SCVT from a recognised institution (Diploma in Engineering is not considered as an alternative higher qualification. Act Apprenticeship / ITI is the only qualification and no other qualification including Diploma in Engineering is accepted as an alternative qualification on the ground of being a higher qualification in the same line of training). The training period for the selected candidates will be as per extant rules. (Authority: Railway Board’s letter No. E(NG)II/2018/RR-I/51 Dt. 16.01.2019). OR
- 10th Standard from a recognised institution (In case, the candidates considered on 10th Standard passed qualification to the post of Skilled Artisan, such sports quota appointees will be directed for training for a period of THREE YEARS. (Authority: Railway Board’s letter No. 2018/E(Sports)/4(1) /11/ Artisan Dt. 17.06.2019).

- For this Recruitment, all eligible candidates will be called for the Trials of thy eligible candidates shall be conducted to mess the sports performance and suitability.
