German marque Porsche has taken the wraps off the new limited-edition 911 Dakar.
This very unique sports car pays homage to Porsche’s win at the 1984 Paris-Dakar rally which marked the start of all-wheel drive in the brand’s models.
While it still uses the same 992-gen body there are some very distinct changes.
The 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar has 50mm more ground clearance than the standard Carrera,
with the standard suspension lift, it gains an extra 30mm.
Porsche claims that the ground clearance and the ramp-over angle is almost as much as conventional SUVs.
The suspension lift in its high level operates even at speeds of up to 170kmph.
The front gets 19-inch alloys while the rear gets 20-inch ones, shod with Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus rubber for optimum off-road grip.
