DAYTONA BEACH: Wet rain has postponed Saturday night's NASCAR Cup Series regular-season finale.
The race will air on CNBC, Peacock, NBC Sports App, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Late-afternoon storms and lightning on Saturday delayed the opening of the Cup Series garage ahead of the Coke Zero Sugar 400.
Wet rain delayed the 7:46 p.m. ET green flag at the Florida track.
Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott will occupy the first row when the race starts. The field was established according to the NASCAR Rule Book, with Larson and Elliott ranking 1-2 in performance metrics.
The 400-miler is the 26th of 36 races this season and will determine the 16-driver playoff grid. Fourteen drivers have won and two spots remain.
The 10-race postseason begins Sunday, Sept. 4 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway with the Cook Out Southern 500. (6 p.m. ET, USA, NBC Sports App, MRN, SiriusXM).
